Etihad Airways became the main sponsor of Harlequins in July 2007.

The airline has developed a strong relationship with the club which sees the airlines logo on the front of the Harlequins shirt as well as on the roof of the stadium which is visible en route to Heathrow airport in London. Most recently Etihad Airways has committed to sponsoring the club for a further season.
Etihad has been supportive of the club since the sponsorship began. We have used the sponsorship of Quins to develop the clubs relationship with the local community in Abu Dhabi as well as fans around the world. This also began with top local club side becoming affiliated with Harlequins and renamed as Abu Dhabi Harlequins.
Etihad has been proud to use its relationship with Harlequins and Abu Dhabi Harlequins to develop rugby within Abu Dhabi. Since 2008, Etihad Airways has hosted the two week long Etihad Airways Junior Rugby Festival. This begins with the Etihad Harlequins Rugby Schools where four Quins coaches carry out training sessions with 500 local Emirati and International children.. This is followed by the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Harlequins Junior Rugby Tournament which is the largest junior rugby tournament in the Middle East.
