About Us
Congratulations to Nick Evans who has been voted the Etihad Airways Player of the Month for December.

Evans has been a fantastic signing for Harlequins and from the word go, he has shown his world class ability and on many occasions has been a real match winner. This was highlighted in last years Heineken Cup clashes with Stade Francais. The half back partnership of Evans and England scrum half Danny Care is seen as the most dynamic in the Guinness Premiership. Nick’s wealth of experience and skill has made him the stand out talisman in the Harlequins squad and the younger players have a huge amount to learn from him, especially his young apprentice Rory Clegg.

This December Evans has had some fine performances in the Quins jersey and has allowed the back division to flow extremely well, putting the likes of Lowe, Monye and Strettle in to acres of space and along with Care he has marshalled the forwards brilliantly to really get a strangle hold on games.

His ability to break the line is astonishing, and this was shown with a fantastic solo try at the Stoop against Sale Sharks where he chipped over the rush defence, collected his own kick and showed his electric pace to touch down under the posts and convert his own try, even the Sale fans had to admire his class!

Congratulations also to Lisa Wadey who voted for December’s Etihad Airways Player of the Month. As well as receiving a limited edition replica Harlequins jersey, Lisa has asked Nick Evans the question:

Q: What is a typical day like for you?

NE: A typical training day for me would start with waking up at 7-730 have breakfast and head off to gym at 830-930.
We then have refuel (food) after the gym and have a meeting for the backs at 11, followed by training on field as a backs unit.
Then we have lunch followed by meeting as a team at 1:45 to go through training, the meeting is followed by training on field from 2 to 3pm
I would then have either physio or massage and get back home around 430pm.

We do have one day off a week, where if the weather is nice I will try to play golf. If not I will try and relax and rest my body for the next training session and our upcoming game.
